The Sampler
Many Years ago, I was walking in my grandparents neighborhood in Florida and found a hand-stitched sampler that was discarded in the trash. The sentiment stitched into the cloth was just exactly how I have always felt about having a cup of tea with a friend. March with its cold winds and of course the gracious Irish with their knack of knowing when a good time for a cup of tea is, have reminded me of that poem. It goes like this.
No matter what the time of day, you’re always welcome here to stay. A cup of tea for you is brewing, friendship dear is worth renewing.
I am sorry to say that someone enjoyed that sampler so much that they took it from the walls of the BonBonerie. I believe it is one of the few things that have ever been stolen here. I find that quite curious .
